And it is delusional to sink into conspiracy theories and paranoia, assuming that Obama sought a confrontation w/ Israel. An American peace plan that includes large Israeli withdrawals from the W. BAnk IS NOT ANTI-ISRAEL. It is simply true to the Balfour Declaration, Peel Plan, 1947 UN Partition Plan, the Road Map and every other internationally sanctioned plan (all supposedly accepted by Israel), all of which are based on dividing British Mandate Palestine. Zionism/Israel was never supposed to include all of Palestine. The settlement mania is an attempt to have it all which is anti-Zionist, a betrayal of all Israeli foreign policy (at least the supposed policy) and which, ironically, does more to undo Israel`s legitimacy morally and under int`l law and precedent than anything Israel`s critics charge. |
