| "Historian" might consider taking up the study of history. If he did, he would learn that the original Roman name for the Land of Israel was Iudaea, land of the Jews. The name Palestinia (Philistia) was substituted only following the Uprising of the Jews against Rome. The Romans also renamed Jerusalem Aelia Capitolina. Today Rome is no more (and most of humanity, including notably Italy, practices a Judean-derived religion, Christianity, or another Abrahamic faith Islam), and Jerusalem is the capital of a Jewish homeland, Israel. No one remembers Aelia Capitolina. As for the Canaanites, there modern successors are none other than the Jews, the only remaining Hebrew speaking nation on earth. |
