Jack Khoury and Yanir Yagna, Haaretz Correspondents: Noam Shalit to UN: My son's abduction was a war crime
Talkback
Title:Noam, you should be talking to Hamas, not the UN.

Noam, like probabaly all fathers who know your story, I`ve asked myself what I`d do in your terrible situation.

And you know, what? I`d go to Gaza and I`d go to talk to Hamas and to the parents of Pals locked in Israeli jails and find out about their suffering as well as asking for my son back.

Dangerous? Perhaps, but then who`s going to stop a father looking for his son? Israel? Hamas? I don`t think so.

And what have you got to lose? Over here some British parents have been waiting for their sons kidnapped in Iraq to come back. They listened to the government who told them to trust the government. Now two of their sons are dead after 2 years and the others still aren`t back.

If I were you, I`d talk to the Gazans and Hamas, because your government doesn`t care about your son, or rather it cares about thousands of other things much more.
