Your entire state is built on the mass deportation of the preexisting Palestinian population, in order to make way for incomers of the preferred ethnic religious background. Your racism arises out of the need to justify this action by claiming it is caused by some ontological defect in The Other, when in fact it is based on the simple reality that you cannot create a Jewish state in a land where most people are non-Jews, unless you first expel the “wrong kind” of people.
You are waltzing around the edges of what really ails you when you use the deportation of African refugees as an example of intolerance. The real test of Israel`s tolerance is not how you treat the African refugees you did not create, but the Palestinian ones that you did. |
