| As long as there are voices like Burston`s in Israel, the country still has a chance, but he is certainly correct that Israel has descended from the high ground to a very unattractive place. As a non-Jew, the whole concept of a Jewish state strikes me as unworkable in the long run and uncomfortable at any point. To create and maintain a Jewish state you have to start with two classes of citizens--there is no way around it. |
