| Peres is no longer a politician. He is now a neutral figurehead president, not a negotiator or a representative of the government. He is not allowed to imply that israel will or will not give up the Golan, and he may not say what Israel would or would not expect in exchange if it did give up the Golan Heights. His words are null and void. The carry no official weight, But many foreigners confuse Peres` status with that of Obama and other executive presidents. If Peres does not understand when to shut his overloose mouth, he must be removed from office and must face the legal consequences of overstepping his mandate. |
