| It seems to me that a great many people who have fled from Communist nations (e.g. Vietnamese, Cubans, Russians etc.) are certainly not frightened by the hobgoblin of "Socialism" when it presents itself in the form of government benefits such as free education, medical care and assistance to the elderly. These groups are among the most avid consumers of such "Socialist" commodities, and they`re smart about how to go about getting them, too. Their problem was never was with government giveaways, it was with repressive authoritarianism. If Obama were threatening THAT type of Soclalism, these shamelessly bigoted Russians wouldn`t be allowed to freely express themselves...BTW - Are these the "refuseniks" we were supposed to feel so sorry for in the 80`s? It seems freedom has taught them nothing about the evils of the virulent racism they were so eager to escape. For shame!!! |
