| Jewish settlement on the left bank is illegal. It is occupied territory and no amount of "historical" claims can change that. There was justification for the creation of a Jewish homeland once, but Jabotinsky`s reasons, survival of Jews, are no longer urgent. Far more Jews live far more safely outside Israel! Israel is a fact and has right to survive, but not to expand. Palestinians also have a right to a homeland and survival! Obama and the rest of the rational world see this as self-evident. Many Israelis do as well. Time for he Israeli Right to become rational as well. I`m afraid there is no hope for the ultra-orthodox, but fundamentalists are not known for their rationality. |
