Now, what kind of a country is it which is glued to the TV transmitting the latest rubbish representing the country at Eurovision? That claps when landing at its (only) airport? That cheers a supermodel spinning in bed with no clothes on because she is from OUR country? That gets excited that its high tech is bought in Vietnam, Azerbaijan or Belarus, and its weapons by Khazakstan, Peru and El Salvador?
It is a banana republic like Samoa, as steeped in an inferiority complex as Nicaragua, and as transcendent as Moldova. It won`t make it to the G - 80. Not even to the G - 100. Perhaps to the G - 120. |
