| I think Ben Gurion`s point was that the former Irgun politician Menachem Begin, advocated policies that would be interpreted that he was a racist and didn`t care for the welfare of the Arab population. The same is applicable to other politicians today with some of their rhetoric. But Menachem Begin changed over time especially after Likud formed a government and many became more admiring of the man`s significance to Israel`s history. He made peace with Egypt. |
