An Arab plan can only be a plan to educate all Israelis that they are newcomers to the region having an obligation to respect the rights of the indigenous population.
In other words, that Palestinians have inalienable rights based on at least the past two millennia of continuous majority residence in the land of Palestine which are protected by international law. No nation on earth has the rights to displace a people from such an established position. Neither does the Bible grant Israelis such superiority, according to the best and broadest scholarship.
Such a program of Israeli education on the part of the Arab community can only succeed from a position of nonviolence, but backed by the global community of nations. Such backing is essential for education to succeed.
As a last resort, the Arab plan must invoke the international consensus for truth and justice to prevail on behalf of the Palestinian people, while protecting the rights and security of the Israeli people. |
