| It is within the proper use of diplomatic relations to call in an ambassador and express displeasure. That the entire European Union choses to do so in unison should impress Iran. Not that I expect it to have a major effect. Iran`s ruling clique is deep in an internal knife fight which has the total attention of all involved. The `hard line` faction is seeking to increase tensions with the world to distract from it`s plight. The election coup was a very, very costly victory. Pyrrhic in fact. |
