You`re wrong. Last year a cease-fire held pretty good. ( not 100% but still even military experts said that Hamas was trying to reign in militant qassam-rocketeers)
That was very inconvenient for Israel? You know why? It had already decided on Operation Cast Lead. So when the IDF was quite ready preparing they staged 2 deadly raids. Sure enough after that the rockets came flying once more. And guess what? Israel soon decided it was intolerable and embarked on Cast Lead. And even during times when rocketfire is very scarce. Israel gives absolutely nothing in return ( such as a lifting or partial lifting of the siege) So it`s not really as simple as you suggest. |
