| I saw the interview and its nothing but a clever public relations stunt. of course he wants Obama to come to Syria he has seen Obama will take the side of the arabs over Israel any day and he things that if Obama comes to Syria he can sweet talk him into getting Israel to give away the Golan. instead of looking very presidential in his palace with suit & tie in his palace in this intervew he was wearing an open neck shirt looking very casual at a charity eventy. He had his wife make a little speech about how Obama was a young preisdent and Assad was a young president so the 2 young presidents should meet and talk. Later they had a few kids say how they thought Obama was great and they would love it if he came to Syria. So obvious these kids had been told in advance the sort of answers to give if they were spoken to by SKY reporters. Even though he was putting on this coreographed stunt it was still hard for him to give a straight yes about talkes with Israel it was mumbled maybe. |
