Fair enough. But your analogy is flawed. A better analogy would be of a Canadian driving through an American military check point in Canada, set-up and administered by Americans AFTER they illegally occupy Canada. In that case, HECK NO, I would not expect to be shot!
They can the heck OUT of Canada, and take their check point and themselves back to the USA.
Once they do that, if I pass without stopping at an American "military checkpoint in America" ONLY THEN will I expect to be shot.
