| To turn Lieberman`s tactics back on him: There are people dying all over Africa of starvation, why does Israel worry about whether some Settlers have to double-bunk in the West Bank? There are homeless people all across the world, why does Israel worry about expanding existing homes for Settlers who continue to grow their families larger and larger? Lieberman made the mistake of arguing than an issue is not important enough to discuss. Then it shouldn`t be important enough for Israel not to concede on the issue. Because if it isn`t that important, Israel should have no problem with freezing ALL settlement growth. Since Lieberman thinks it is a minor issue that is overshadowed by all these other issues, then there is no excuse for him to risk Israel`s relationships with Israel`s allies over the issue. Lieberman is going to do more foreign relations damage than Israel ever dreamed possible. Lieberman just gave the proverbial finger to every single one of Israel`s allies. |
