... from privately talking with Bush, explaining his fear of Iran, and need to sound tough. Probably some secret inspection program could have been worked out. Saddam`s adolescent sense of bravado led to a stretched neck and 6 years of disaster, more to come. This is the kind of thing that diplomatic ties are supposed to avert.
