with the row over the illegal settlements in the West Bank is quite funny.
The fact is today the lead foreign story in the UK is the American surge in Afghanistan. Helmand Province we have troops there two died yesterday. Israel of course is conspicuous by their absence.
North Korea is a worry of course, but it is a seperate topic for the international community. The Israel/Palestinian conflict is the responsibility of the quartet. North Korea is dealt with by a completely seperate group to the Quartet.
Isn`t there somebody in the Foreign Office briefing the nightclub bouncer in international affairs aand strategic partnerships? Or is Mr Sarkozy`s advice to Netanyahu the other day looking increasingly valid?
Anyway if the reports in Haaretz yesterday are correct there is shortly going to be a freeze in illegal building in the occupied territories. Then everyone can concentrate on the greenline. |
