| Hard to know what to say really. After all those years of Israel`s supporters viciously attacking anybody, like Carter, who suggested Israel was an apartheid state, the Housing Minister seems to be now openly stating that he wants apartheid in Israel. Any supporter of Israel want to explain how this is consistent with the idea of Israel as a modern, western, democratic state? I`ve never supported boycotts against Israel, but if this guy really represents the Government of Israel, I`m going to have to start seriously thinking about it. And please don`t tell me that Arabs will be treated equally to Jews, just separately. I heard exactly the same argument from a South African supporter of apartheid. |
