| The first thing to do is freeze the settlement building, for all time. It will take a while before anyone is convinced that Israel is sincere in this. Israel has reneged on just about every commitment it has ever put its name to. The fact that Israel sees the settlements as simply a negotiating ploy, rather than the central issue, is indicative that they have yet to get the message. Much, much more pressure is needed. |
