Once upon a time the Kibbutznik was the Poster Child of the Zahal, the ones who were at the front doing what they were supposed to do. Ah! but now there are not as many Kibbutzim, many changed their rules, the dining hall is a restaurant, some even shop in "their Malls", . . . In fact, many have privatized, and they ain`t Kibbutzim no more.
Today, for some reason the National Religious youth have replaced them. They "threaten" the old guard of Secularist officers, the ones who would erase "BaSaD" from the Mess Hall Boards on account of whatever, the ones who told Observant soldiers to hurry up and finish their prayers while they stood around the door of the Mess Hall shooting the breeze, the ones who shoot wild boars and cook them in Zahal utensils. Alas, they have be soldiers the way Pekudut Matkal tells them to be.
