Israel has been bullying the region for decades, feeling comfortable in the fact the its friends in the West -US and EU- will protect it from consequences of its actions. War after war and attack after attack with disproportionate use of force against civilians has been the hallmark of this era. This was easy for West because it came at no cost to them. Not anymore.
Now, the same "friends" are asking Israel for concessions so peace can finally be achieved (mainly so their armies can go home) and Israel suddenly feels that it`s been treated unfairly?
Well my friends, you traded your sovereignty for economic and political favors and now your supporters are coming to collect a few favors of their own. |
