"Foreign diplomats in Israel are speaking in a lordly way to Israeli statesmen, and foreign journalists are asking them questions that are often biased, intrusive and insolent."
Yes, and isn`t it amazing that it all started right after Mr Obama`s pronunciamento in Cairo - the one that pandered to Israel`s enemies, and that made so many wonder if America was now to be counted amongst them?
Mr Obama made it hip to be "cool to the Jews". And everyone else, it seems, followed with a pack mentality, many all-too-gladly.
Then, of course, came Iran`s democratic revolt, Mr Obama`s milquetoast response, and the bloody crackdown by the mullahs on the reformists. Only then did the president find his voice to protest - and chastened by his public display of poor judgment about the West`s enemies.
Would it be too much to hope the rest of the pack now follows him with at least a touch of humility toward Israel?
... nah. The ancient hate is too ingrained.
