a more religious state would not be quite the "end of the world" you are predicting.
the way i see it, a more religious state would be better able to stand up to the palestinians (the haredim hate the palestinians). and don`t give me the "who will serve in the army" thing, since national religious are also growing. I believe that as a majority culture (many years from now), haredi culture will be quite tolerant. whatever shrillness there is is because they feel threatened by the secular israeli culture that wants to smother them |
