It is always a bit dangerous lifting the jackboot. Not because it will have long-term bad results, but because the short-term effects are resentment, anger and a desire for revenge. I will point to the fact that Hamas is keeping the lid on terrorism from Gaza. This is a good sign. Islamic Jihad is a problem, it has nothing to gain from order.
