Christopher, there is no dilemma, at least not for the US. For one thing, the US hasn`t diplomatic relations with Iran, and thus formally recognises no Iranian government whatsoever.
For another, the US government has issued no statement which recognises the electoral victory of one candidate over another there. President Obama has been very cautious in this regard, primarily objecting to the Iranian government`s violation of the civil rights of, and its use of force against, the reformist opposition. |
