| I think its worth looking at the Iranian Jews and Israeli Arabs keeping this in mind: social discrimination ( de facto ) is often worse than legal segregation/discrimination ( de jure ) . Over the years I have read several documents, texts, articles, etc. on both groups and while I still do not have a definitive opinion, I find that there are more examples of social discrimination going on in both places than legal. Its very naive in todays informed world to say, for example, that israeli arabs have the same treatment as israeli jews inspite of legal equality. On the same token, I think you could apply the same to the Iranian Jews...though I tend to agree with the first readers comment ... why not ask actual Iranian Jews? |
