Isn`t it time that we Jews get rid of this "chip on our shoulders"? Of course, there are still anti Semites in this world, but to state that Arabs, and others have always hated Jews (and therefore always will....) is utterly rediculous! May I remind the respectable "historian" of the "Golden Age" of Judaism in Spain, under the Muslims (Jehuda Halevi, etc)?
I have often asked myself why is evetybody, Jewish or not, who does not agree with the policy of the government of Israel, labelled as being anti semitic. I think the answer is simple - it is much easier to state this than to start thinking and elaborating about the situation and the background. Why should I think if it is really right to behave to non Jews the way Shas does? It is much simper to simply say everybody hates us, Jews, Full Stop! The same applies to President Obama`s reqests to freeze settlements - why should we ? he is an anti Semite! |
