| Sites that have a moderator or censor pick and choose what will appear in the talkback, otherwise it can turn into cyber warfare. When I went on to two Armenian websites, before the moderator took over, I received a lot of antisemitic insults which had nothing to do with any issue that was being discussed in the article. (And one person wanted to know who I was and where I was from (event though he insulted me)- wish I could have met him face to face; do they really know who we are; and they are curious? We need cultural exchanges.) Without a censor or moderator it could turn into a free for all; however, the moderator or censor can also choose those posts which support its overall bias (Haaretz, is it zionism?). Culture exchanges may do more good than the internet. |
