I think I might consider walking out if I turned up to an inter-faith meeting to find Peres doing the speeches. Mind you, before everyone starts hysterically screaming anti-semite, I`d do exactly the same if Ahmedinejad was speaking.
Pere is an aging politician who has spoken a lot about peace in his life but not actually achieved anything much in that direction, and for the last few months he`s been acting as salesman for a particularly unappealing right-wing anti-peace regime in Israel. That`s not exactly the stuff of stirrung spirituality. I think the interfaith delegates should ask for their money back. |
