| you have to understand who these bloggers are before you draw general conclusions. these people are educated, and probably a bit more liberal than 90% of the arabs around them, who are not exposed to non Arab/Muslim media. Therefore, it is hard to gage what arabs really feel. That is when one speaks of the "Arab Street", its all a lot of BS, since no one really knows what Arabs think- there is no free media or even a civil society that is not monitored or influenced by the State... |
