Reagan was a New Deal Democrat who idolized Roosevelt and worked for the Roosevelt administration during WW II. He was also a labor activist (like Obama) in the 40s and 50s and became a Union boss then.
As to what Obama believes, look at what he`s done and said, not what a minority of the minority party say about him.
Reagan was not the cartoon character the current Republican priesthood would have people believe. He was complex guy with contradictions in his character. He ran against taxes, but raised them. Even when he converted to being a Republican, he still talked to Democrats civilly.
He wasn`t the perfect being as President or governor. He made mistakes just like everybody else. |
