The settlements have always been a dead end because they never came up with any realistic idea on how to deal with the Palestinians already there.
The right wing Isreali hope was that the Pals would sit quietly in semi-captivity for decades while their land was stolen and would then quietly disappear or emigrate.
That was it. That was the best plan the Israeli right-wing could come up with. And as so often, the amazing arrogance of the Israeli right-wing was its downfall.
In the 1st intifada, the Pals stood up and said they weren`t just going to be disappear and all the brutal orders to break their bones didn`t make a difference.
You I notice here, again don`t say anything about the Pals and what will happen to them if the settlements continue to grow. Obama will listen to you when you give the Pals equal regard to your beloved settlers and attribute them equal rights and respect. |
