Accepting such an "offer" ensures that Netanyahu will stonewall until the clock ticks down on that "six month freeze". At which point Bibi will redouble the construction AND claim that he has Obama`s OK to do so. So agreeing to that offer has two consequences: 1) it moves Obama no closer to what *he* wants, which is a final agreement. 2) it does give Netanyahu what he wants i.e. the "right" to build, build, build once that "temporary freeze" is over. Obama therefore has no incentive to agree to that "offer", and so he won`t. |
