| Once again, the court is attempting to re-write Halacha (Jewish Law). The laws of kashrut (what is kosher) are complicated and quite involved. There is more to being kosher than mere ingrediants. If a Jew is non-observant, he/she would also need the services of a full-time kashrut supervisor. I know quite a few Messianic Jews (to me that term is a misnomer); they are not bound to observe the Torah & can not be trusted re: kashrut (just like a non-religious Jew cannot be trusted). Torah Law is Torah Law; as much as the secular court would like to re-write the Torah, it can`t be done. |
