Newspapers here in the US are widely reporting that no Israeli government could stop building settlements 100% and still survive. Thus, Obama is being urged to work with Israel to come up with a compromise that will appease the Arabs.
It has also been pointed out to him that his unrealistic stand on settlements has given the Arab governments a way out so they don`t have to help the Palestinians until Israel stops settlement activity 100%. He`s being told he was very naive.
Israel should do what`s in its own best interests. Obama will adjust. |
