| I believe that whatever Israeli government we`re talking about, the reality of halting settlements or halting expansion is understood. But the make up of the leadership (especially Begin, Lieberman, Ya`alon) of this government perhaps has the viewpoint that any complete halt is a sign of capitulation, which it`s not since Israel agreed to the obligations of the Road Map where it`s stipulated. The whole point is that it gives Israel a higher ground and the Palestinians have to counter this positive significant move by Israel to show that they are ready to come to the table. But they can`t seem to get their act together with attempted reconciliations. What do you say about what`s been going on there? |
