| Why doesn`t Israel just be honest? The government has no interest in halting settlement expansion. The life-time goals of Netanyahu and the post-emigration goals of Lieberman are clear. They favor the integration of Judea and Samaria into Israel. This cannot be done until the Arab population of the West Bank has been drastically reduced or eliminated. The chosen instruments are settlement expansion and brutal occupation. Why not just be honest about it? No one is fooled by the dishonesty. Anyone who has eyes in their head and a brain behind them understands what has been going on, what the goal is and how it is being achieved. Just tell Uncle Sugar `no`. Then the subject can be changed to how best provide new homes for Palestinians far away from Israel. |
