| I am impressed by Mr Shulman`s piece on Ezra nawi - and of course, enormously impressed by the tenacity and courage of Ezra Nawi. As an outsider I cannot see - outside some anachronistic and self-serving religious dogma - what logic or reason there in in the Israeli case for invading the territory of another people, settling on it and driving the original inhabitants away. Nor, apparently, can the Securoty Council of the UN. Yet, despite its injunctions, Israel, with the tacit support of the US, continues egregiously to flout international law. Do Israelis not understand that many onlookers like myself see their position as unprincipled as that of other colonial invaders? Congratulations to people like Shulman and his paper Haaretz for taking such a principled stand on this particular case. Warwick Armstrong |
