| Something is very wrong somewhere if foreign leaders allow themselves the temerity to tell Israel who to have as its ministers. It would be inconceivable for someone to tell Sarkozy to fire one of his ministers. It bespeaks an Israel which has lost its self-respect and which has shown itself all too amenable to caving in to outside pressure. That`s why the Obama administration--faced with an unbalanced nuclear North Korea, a fanatical soon-to-be-nuclear Iran, made its first order of business the pushing around of Israel. It`s time for Israel to just do what it needs to and stop kowtowing to every foreign meddler, including the US. Otherwise there is no end to the amount and degree of control that those outside powers will attempt to exert over Israel, and Israeli independence will become a thing of the past. |
