You won`t get scammed unless you are greedy and looking for the easiest opportunity.
Nothing last, Madoff is just one of the big crooks that populate our world.
If you think you have something valuable, don`t even talk about it, but if you think that you are always in need of something, you would certainly get scammed.
Surely Madoff is also a victim of the system, as all of his victims, he was always in need of money. How on earth can you believe someone that will give you a million dollar just by giving him the same, and why is he even in jail.
Don`t people get scammed all the time, don`t corporations file for chapter 11 to dump workers` pensions. Why does he get 150 years, while probably reparing half of his scam, while others totaly under the law can do the same and nobody complains. The only reason that I can imagine is because simply his victims were rich, have power and had probably something else in common. |
