I wonder- Was this the reason the old isrealites came to that land in the first place? I doubt that the temple is a place of power. I suspect, that it is a place of divine goodwill- call it love. ‘A light unto the nations’- by _strength_? This doesn’t fit. There were so much states with that agenda. Even claimed similar (even divine?) support. They all vanished. |
