| This is old news. Olmert approved these 50 homes last year. This is part of the breif to the court. Netanyahu`s government has nothing to do with these 50 homes but you wouldn`t know it by this article. If you look up other articles you can find out that the breif to the israeli supreme court stated how these were approved last year by olmert. Yet this article makes it out like the present israeli government is doing this. Netanyahu since he came into office three months ago has not signed off on one new house for settlements. What in the world can Netanyahu do. He stops settlements and the israeli left keeps whacking him for approvals olmert gave. The israeli media left was silent when olmert was approving thousands of homes in the west bank even though he came to power promising to get rid of them. So just because Netanyahu is part of Likud they slam him even though he has stopped issuing new approvals for settlements. Reuters: Netanyahu stopped approval. |
