| I am appalled at the brutality shown peaceful demonstrators in Iran. But then I have seen every single brutality shown by the police and military in the United States against peaceful demonstrators here. Yes, beatings, tear gas, shooting with intent to kill. Also the follow-on raids against homes and organizations, the arrests, the imprisonments. Nothing has been done to Iranian protesters which I have not seen done to peaceful demonstrators here in the US. I am most supportive of the Iranians who stand against the depravity that is their government. But I understand that in the United States they would be treated exactly the same as in Iran. And if they were Israeli Arabs. . . yes, the same. |
