| According to the news, these are local employees of the embassy, which means they are Iranian citizens. So they are subject to both the restrictions of their employment and the views of the Ayatollahs. The latter cannot very well attacks empassy staff that are British. They did that when they held US embassy staff hostage. Doing so again would be bad PR. And the fact that they are blocking news of their brutal attacks on Iranian protesters indicates their desire for better publicity. I wonder if they wil muzzle their newly elected president, before he knocks their PR off the rails. They want the world to accept the results of the "election".
