Netanyahu went to Europe to provoke a split over international demands for a settlement freeze which had been demanded of Israel the previous week by Barack Hussein Obama. It didn`t happen.
In fact the reality of the situation is that the EU`s stance for Palestinian statehood is not driven by Netanyahu it is driven by the Saudi Plan, the road map and Annapolis, all of which were rejected by Netanyahu when he came to power.
Netanyahu is trying to give Israelis the impression that he is driving forward Israel`s interests and gaining consensus within the International community. When in actuality nothing could be further than the truth.
Otherwise why has Netanyahu cancelled yet another appointment with Israel`s closest ally? |
