| If it`s temporary, then there is no principled reason that it can`t be permanent. And besides, the Palestinians are masters at saying no while making everyone believe it`s Israel`s fault, and negotiating ad infinitum, preconditions, etc etc. The only thing Israel has as leverage is to make it clear to them that the longer they procrastinate and fail to consider any reasonable compromise, the more land they will lose. They keep trying to turn back the clock when it is they who have wasted all their time. It`s long past time for someone to finally read THEM the riot act and stop pushing Israel around. Then we`d get somewhere, but as long as they can refuse to compromise and the world keep getting down on Israel rather than the Palestinians, the longer this conflict will take to be resolved. |
