Perhaps, sir, you have forgotten the long and acrimonious history between the US and Iran, and perhaps you`ve also turned a blind eye to the US` marked lack of OPTIONS, which can be incidentally attributed to W Bush. I don`t see you lamenting that....
MY President has few viable options. Outright support the Uprising and it gets an even MORE brutal crackdown, and the US would be powerless to help, just like we didn`t in `91 with Iraq`s Shia.
Obama played this absolutely right. He didn`t "flinch" as you claim. He kept the moral high ground. Instead of the mindless bombast, we finally have an intelligent leader who knows when to play his cards close to the vest. |
