| ..to the Tienanmen Square uprising. The Twitter Uprising was mainly well educated young folk, disenchanted by the "Old" 1979 revolution. Sure, many died or were and are incarcerated. The RG are not particulary fond to these educated folk. Nor the Clerics. Then again it was not a country wide revolution. Certainly not like Bucharest. Mr.Obama, may have spoken out, however he knew that this was not some massive upheaval. Then again, many knew the same. The media may have been proactive, in fact over the top, with a news blackout, rather a feeding frenzy came into action. Iran, will remain as it is now. In retrospect, one can only admire the tenacity and courage of those that dared to confront such a regime. |
