| First of all, there was no evidence that the election was fraudulent. Second the protest looked suspiciously extensive and well organized to be spontaneous. It would have not been appropriate for Obama to side with the protesters under these circumstances. Obama is presently trying to engage the Iranian government in negotiations over their nuclear program. Who would gain by provoking a confrontation between Obama and the Iranian government? Israel would gain. Israel prefers that America attack Iran. There has been no evidence yet that Israel organized the protest and there has been no evidence that the election was a fraud. Obama played it smart. We knew he would. |
